to me, purity means abstaining from all things that lead away from Jesus. your heart must be pure. your actions must be pure. your life must be pure. all things that lead away from the father are not pure.
ReplyDeletePurity literally means: freedom from anything inappropriate, anything that pollutes or contaminates. Another definition is clean or spotless, as of garments. The Bible says our body is a temple, or dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. God living in us. Living a 'pure' life means that we will not let God's temple be defiled, (to make unclean, foul, dirty, or pollute. to violate the chastity of). Chastity means being a virgin, being celibate (not committing any sexual act) outside of marriage. So to me, purity means I let nothing happen to my body that is not of God, and let nothing leave my mouth or control my thoughts that would make Jesus sad about living in my heart. If it doesn't honor God, don't say or do it!!

Purity is white as snow, w/o any spots or blemishes on it. It is perfect. Purity is saying No to lust and saying Yes to waiting for your future beloved. Purity is something special. It is a gift from God, and therefore it is Holy, 'cause God is Holy! Purity has high standards which will NOT compromise! Purity is beautiful! Purity is respecting others and yourself, by doing the Right thing! Purity does not have a diferent girlfriend every week either! Gosh :p And once again, to me?, Purity is beautiful!
