Out with the Old...In with the New!

New Years just isn't the same without a bonfire, smores, fireworks, and of course, great friends! We had the honor of celebrating New Years with all of the above tonight at Dave and Mal's. (Evidently this blog is kept on the Pacific Coast time schedule. It's 1:29am here but it's showing Dec 31st still. Hmmmmm.....)

I personally am looking forward to 2008. I believe this will be a landmark year for our family. Doug's starting a new job, I'm working on wrapping up a new book I've been writing, and Micki's at her new job as well! The pressure is on! This is going to be a year that God shows up in each of our lives in a new fantastic way I believe. I want to have more than a flame of passion inside of me for others...I want a bonfire of faith that burns so brightly that no one can mistake it. When people look my way, I don't want them to see me; I want them to see Jesus. Undoubtedly, unmistakeably, undeniably, Jesus!

On a separate note, my grandfather came into town, and we were able to capture some awesome photos. 5 generations in one picture. Here's Miley checking out her GREAT GREAT GRANDPA. Priceless...

Lastly...Doug decided to go hunting with my brother in law. He's never really been hunting, and he called on his way home to say he got his first dear. What luck! And what a lucky family...dear sausage! That's what I'm talkin' about! I am sure he's hooked now but I am certain that nothing will take the place of golf! Once a golfer, always a golfer!
